Jodhpur Railway Station follows eco-friendly practices for waste disposal to help protect the
environment.
Green bins for wet waste and blue bins for dry waste are placed throughout the platforms and
passenger areas.
Each bin is lined with a colored bag—green for wet waste and blue for dry waste—to keep waste
separated.
Collected waste is kept separate: green trolleys are used for wet waste and blue trolleys for dry
waste.
All waste is finally moved to main bins outside the station, then transported to a municipal solid
waste plant for proper disposal.
MECHANISED CLEANING
Thirteen different types of machines are used at the station for cleaning, including
battery-powered vacuum sweepers that have replaced traditional brooms in public areas.
Two ride-on and three walk-behind scrubbers are used for scrubbing, wet mopping, and polishing all
types of floors.
Two single-disc scrubber machines help remove stains from various floor surfaces.
Other modern equipment includes vacuum cleaners, backpack cleaners, mini scrubbers, litter
pickers, drain and steam cleaners, and escalator cleaning machines.
High-pressure jet machines are available for deep cleaning using powerful water jets.
