Environment Management
Environmental management refers to the management of an organization's environmental programs in a comprehensive, systematic, planned and documented manner. It includes the organizational structure, planning and resources for developing, implementing and maintaining policy for environmental protection
SOLAR SYSTEMS :
-
Solar power is the conversion of energy from sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaic (PV), indirectly using concentrated solar power, or a combination. Photovoltaic cells panels are installed on almost all platform centers and Main Building of Jodhpur Station to convert sun light into electric current using the photovoltaic effect. At percent this system’s capacity is to generate a maximum of 770 KWp and covers almost 80% of station’s electricity requirement
WATER AUDIT:
WASTE TO ENEARGY
- Waste-to-energy (WtE) or energy-from-waste (EfW) is the process of generating energy in the form of electricity and/or heat from the primary treatment of waste, or the processing of waste into a fuel source. WtE is a form of energy recovery. A plant having capacity of 500 Kg/day has been installed and commissioned at Jodhpur station to recycle the organic waste to generate energy in the form of electricity or cooking gas. A gas pipe line has been laid up to the kitchen of TTE running room to use the gas generated so, as well as Electric connection has also been provided to the Roads/colony located nearby the parcel office for the lighting in the night time.
SEWAGE AND WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT:
-
Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater, containing mainly coach washing and platform washing waste water. Physical, chemical, and biological processes are used to remove contaminants and produce treated wastewater that is safe enough for release into the environment or for recycling purpose. A Sewage and waste water treatment plant of capacity 300 KLD has been installed and commissioned at Jodhpur railway station. All water being used for washing, cleaning and toiletries is collected in a holding tank and processed further in various steps for its treatment and after that it is reused for washing, cleaning and gardening purpose. The plant is working on MBR based German technology.
ENEARGY AUDIT:
-
An Energy audit is an inspection/ survey and an analysis of energy flows for energy conservation. It may include a process or system to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output. At Jodhpur Station the energy Audit is done periodically to review the energy conservation.
WATER AUDIT:
-
Water auditing is a method of quantifying water flows and quality in simple or complex systems, with a view to reducing water usage and often saving money on otherwise wastage of water. At Jodhpur Station the Water Audit is being done to minimize the water losses.
ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION:
-
ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organization can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements. Jodhpur Railway Station has got certified by ISO 14001 Certificate.
PET BOTTLE RECYCLING MACHINE:
-
PET Bottle crushing machine is intalled and commissioned at a prime location of main entry on Platform 1. A passenger can recycle their empty bottles through this machine can get a Rs 05 balance Promo code which can be redeemed on "Paytm" mobile App.
